A workshop day without a system

What eats your margin without anything flagging it

A garage is still often run with an appointment book, a job pad and an invoice template. Here is what that setup lets slip.

Where is that vehicle?

Nobody can answer without walking the workshop. The customer calls back, the front desk guesses, the mechanic gets interrupted.

Parts ordered twice

With no tracked stock, the same part gets ordered by two people — or turns out to be missing the moment it is needed.

Work invoiced short

Not all of the actual labour and fitted parts make it onto the invoice. The gap is never visible; it just accumulates.

A half-empty workshop

Without a shared schedule, morning slots overlap while the lift sits idle in the afternoon.

Customers who never come back

No reminder for the next service or the roadworthiness test: the following job happens somewhere else.

Profitability you cannot name

No way to say which job pays, which technician produces, which part has been sitting in stock for six months.

What the software covers

From vehicle check-in to payment

Each step feeds the next: an ordered part is charged to the repair order, which becomes a quote, then an invoice. Nothing is entered twice.

Check-in and vehicle record

Registration, mileage, customer, condition on arrival and reason for the visit. The full history of previous visits opens with the record.

Repair orders

Create the order, assign technicians, track progress, log labour time and close the job — all from the same screen.

Workshop schedule

A shared calendar between the front desk and the bays: appointments, load per technician and lift occupancy, visible at a glance.

Parts stock and purchasing

Parts in stock, parts on order and parts allocated to an open repair order, in real time. Supplier orders, goods receipts and reorder alerts.

Quotes and invoicing

The quote is built from the repair order and turned into an invoice with no re-entry, with payment tracking and overdue reminders.

Customers, reminders and loyalty

Customer file, history per vehicle, reminders for services falling due and warranty follow-up after the repair.

Who it is for

A tool that fits the size of your workshop

The job is not the same depending on what rolls into the workshop. The software is configured accordingly.

Independent mechanical garage

Two bays or ten: servicing, timing belts, clutches, diagnostics. What matters is knowing where each vehicle stands and what it actually cost.

Body shop and paint

Longer jobs, detailed quotes, parts to order and back-and-forth with the insurer: per-file tracking is where the value sits here.

Auto centre, tyres and oil change

High volume, low average ticket, fast-moving parts. Speed at the till and accurate stock are what make it profitable.

Multi-site network and fleets

Several workshops, or the upkeep of a corporate vehicle fleet: service contracts, rebilling and reporting consolidated across sites.

Before / after

The same garage, with and without software

Books, pads and spreadsheets

  • A vehicle's status has to be asked out loud.
  • Parts stock is an estimate.
  • The quote is retyped by hand to become an invoice.
  • Job profitability is guessed at month end.
  • Customer history lives in the foreman's memory.
  • One person off work blocks the follow-up.

Crystal Auto

  • Every vehicle's status is readable from the front desk.
  • Stock shows what is available, on order and allocated.
  • The invoice carries over the repair order, with no re-entry.
  • Revenue and margin come back per job.
  • Each vehicle's history opens in two clicks.
  • The whole team works on the same file.

Getting started

How the rollout works

A garage does not shut down to change tools. The rollout happens in stages, without interrupting the workshop.

  1. 1

    Demonstration

We start from your workshop: what comes in, what jams, how you invoice today.

  2. 2

    Configuration

Services, labour rates, parts families and work stations set up around your organisation.

  3. 3

    Data migration

Your existing customer file, vehicles and stock are reviewed with you so you start on a clean base.

  4. 4

    Training and follow-up

The team is trained on its own files, then supported through the first weeks of live use.

Anywhere in Morocco

Your workshop does not have to be in Rabat

Crystal Auto runs in a browser: nothing to install in the garage, no site visit to get going. Configuration, training and support all happen remotely, by video call and phone, from our offices in Rabat. So your workshop can be in Casablanca, Marrakech or Oujda — the support is the same.

Casablanca · Rabat · Salé · Marrakech · Tanger · Fès · Agadir · Kénitra · Meknès · Oujda · Tétouan

Frequently asked questions

What garage owners ask us

What is garage management software?
It is a tool that brings vehicle check-in, repair orders, workshop scheduling, spare parts stock, quotes, invoicing and customer follow-up into a single system. Its value is not in printing invoices — a word processor does that — but in linking those steps together, so that a fitted part and an hour of labour land automatically on the right vehicle's invoice.
Is it worth it for a small garage with two or three mechanics?
Yes, and often more than for a large operation. In a small workshop the information sits in the owner's head: the day they are away or swamped, nobody knows where a job stands. The software takes that knowledge out of one person's memory and makes it available to the whole team. Configuration then comes down to the essentials: services, hourly rate and customer file.
Does it handle repair orders and labour time per technician?
Yes. Each repair order is created at vehicle check-in, assigned to one or more technicians, then tracked through to job closure. Labour time and fitted parts are attached to it, which lets you compare invoiced time to actual time and measure profitability per job and per technician.
Can a quote become an invoice without retyping everything?
That is precisely the point. The quote is built from the repair order — labour and parts included — then converted into an invoice. Payments are tracked behind it, with overdue reminders. This continuity removes the classic gap between what was ordered, what was fitted and what ends up on the invoice.
Is spare parts stock tracked in real time?
Yes. The software separates what is physically in stock, what is on order with the supplier and what is already allocated to an open repair order. Supplier orders, goods receipts and reorder alerts are handled in the same place, which limits both stockouts and dead stock.
Do we need a server in the garage?
No. Crystal Auto runs in a browser, on the front-desk computer as well as on a tablet in the workshop. There is no machine to host on site and no backup for you to manage; hosting and backups are handled by CRYSTAL IT.
How long does it take to get started?
It depends on what has to be carried over. A garage starting with its services, labour rate and customer file is up and running quickly; an operation migrating a full vehicle history and stock needs more preparation. In both cases the workshop keeps running during the rollout — that is a requirement, not an option.
Does it also suit a dealership or a body shop?
Yes. Crystal Auto covers the workshop as well as new and used vehicle sales, CRM and multi-site reporting. An independent garage only switches on the workshop, parts and invoicing side; a dealership adds sales, fleet and network consolidation. The detail is on the Crystal Auto page.
